Beadfest Finds!

It was pouring, blinding rain here yesterday. driving west on the Long Island Expressway was scary.  You could barely see a few yards in front of you.  Nevertheless, images of all those gorgeous beads at the Bead Fest kept us focused.  At least me, since I wasn’t driving.

Of course I bought more than I could afford..but the prices and the selections are so great!  Hopefully these will satiate my bead addiction for many months to come. The vendors even know my face!  Some know my name and still others are familiar with my jewelry. It’s like visiting with friends, comrades sharing a mutual obsession with gems, beads and making jewelry.

Here area few photos of my stash and of some tables.  Some of these were taken with an iPod so please excuse the image quality.

Some of the beads I purchased, Jade in red, blue and fabulous yellow, Amazonite, Corals, Agates and Carnelian

It’s like a wonderful treasure hunt, isn’t it? It’s been toooooo long since I’ve been to one myself.

Looks you found some lovelies. 🙂

It was very difficult to stop looking, even after I ran out of money. I didn’t find any nice cabs though. But that’s OK, I’ll be doing a gem & mineral show soon and sure to find some there.

The beads you got are beautiful! Can’t wait to see what you make with them. And the bead show, omg! I totally understand why you didn’t turn around and go home rather than driving on to the show! Wow!

I’ll probably just look at the beads until the light turns on in my head. I found some yellow jade, did you notice?
