I’ve been obsessed with playing with copper sheet metal lately. In the recent giveaway package I received from Janice Fowler through The Jewelry Artists Network, were several pieces of 24 gauge copper sheet among other goodies. I’ve been cutting and creating jewelry from these pieces since that day.
Obviously, I love leaves of all kinds (and flowers). I never get tired of creating these. I’ve made pendants, earrings, rings and bracelets with leaf motifs.
While I’m on this metal obsession, I also started experimenting with stamping. That’s a whole new area for me. I have a lot to learn, so please forgive my sloppy lettering on this bracelet. This one’s for me anyway!
What lovely leaves! My friend gave me some scrap copper sheet from his workshop and I would love to do something like this – gotta lot of figuring out to do though!
Thank you Jess! Hope you have fun with that scrap copper sheet. I’ve picked up copper sheet from the street and made stuff out of it as long as I can manipulate it.
Zoraida, whatever you do is always so beautiful. Even your stamping is perfect. I wish I was half as talented as you are.
Thanks so much Barbara!! How nice of you to say my stamping is perfect even though it’s not 🙂
These are so awesome! I haven’t tried this yet, but I bet I’ll never make a ginko leaf quite as nice. 🙂
Thanks so much, Tela ! I’m sure you would create fantastic metal pieces – you are so talented and original !
These are all lovely but the ginko leaf is amazing! Love the patina on it too. Fantastic work you’re doing. Inspirational even!
Thank you, Delia!! The ginkgo leaf would look awesome enameled with the veins left in metal but I’m not up to that yet.
